I’m Nic, a Brazilian-American journalist and audio producer interested in sound-rich narrative storytelling.

 

Currently pursuing an MFA in Literary Reportage at New York University's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, writing a longform project about end-of-life care. I also produce the Hell Gate Podcast.

Previously with NPR's Enterprise Storytelling Unit, I’ve contributed on Rough Translation, Invisibilia, Embedded, Throughline, Planet Money, and others. Alum of the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies at the Maine College of Art & Design. Before that, I studied science and psychology at Brandeis University.
